Thinking about going vegetarian or vegan??

Has the thought crossed your mind to make the switch?? Im curious how many out there are wanting to make the change but not sure where to begin or what you can eat?? Please leave a comment with questions or concerns? Cheers!

  1. Breakfast - would be my hardest area. My blood sugar goes all wacky with cereal and such so I do better with protein. Also I'm in a house of meat eaters and fussy eaters that are not vary adventuresome.

  2. Hi Stephanie!! Breakfast can be the challenging one for sure! I agree, cereal can make your make your blood sugar drop. Its always good to have a carb with a protein. Are you vegetarian? or vegan? My suggestion would be a protein smoothie. You get a whole lot of nutrients in a protein smoothie. And the great thing about it is you can change the fruit to make it different everyday! The protein mix I use is plant based. The name is Life's Basics plant protein (pea,hemp, rice with Chia seed) vanilla flavor. A complete protein rich in Omega 3-6-9 I will post a picture of the container.     As far as the family, it needs to be a gradual transition.I would try making a vegetarian/ vegan dish once a week. For example if the family likes tacos you can substitute the meat with soy crumbles and fix the tacos how you would normally make them, just substituting the meat. You can find the Beef-less ground beef almost at every store in the refrigerated section. The family will be surprised!! Because the beef-less meat just takes on the flavor of what your cooking with. I have a GREAT recipe I can post for tacos by my daughter -n- law Rachel. I think the family will be pleasantly surprised!
